How My Energy Tracker handles your data.
What we store
The bills you enter (usage, rates, charges), your postcode, and your solar setup if you add one. That's it.
What's public
Only anonymised averages by postcode. Your individual bills are never shown to anyone — not to other members, not to visitors, not to the administrator. To protect anonymity:
- An area's averages are shown only once at least 5 households in that postcode have contributed.
- Any single month is only included in an average when at least 5 people have a reading for it.
Your controls
- Turn off “Include my data in local averages” in Account at any time — your data immediately stops counting.
- Clearing your postcode also removes your data from every average.
- Monthly reminder emails can be switched off in Account, or via the unsubscribe link in any reminder.
The administrator
The admin can approve, disable or remove accounts and configure the site, but cannot see any member's energy data.
